NOTE for:

Band Classes 9302, 9303, 9304, 9318 & 9319,
Stage Band Classes 9321 & 9322

1. The only difference between these classes is the difficulty of the test piece: "A" being the most difficult and "C" the least difficult. A conductor may choose to enter the class considered most suitable for the band he/she conducts.

2. A school may enter bands in all of these classes provided that no player participates in more than one of these classes.

3. A band receiving a GOLD award in "B" or "C" is not eligible to compete in that class in the next following Festival, e.g. a winner in Class "C" in 2011 may only compete in Classes "B" or "A" in 2012. A band which receives a GOLD award in Class "A" may continue to compete in that class but may revert to Class "B" after competing in Class "A" for two consecutive years without having received a GOLD award.

4. As a warm-up, bands may play a hymn tune or chorale. Limit 2 min. This selection will not be adjudicated.
